Introduction

I am a Hungarian Machine Learning Engineer currently based in Seattle, with a deep appreciation for immersing myself in different cultures. Having had the privilege of living in Italy and Malta, I've had the opportunity to embrace and learn from diverse cultural experiences. These international adventures have enriched my perspective and further fueled my passion for pushing the boundaries of knowledge of my profession.

Alongside my wife and son, I enjoy exploring the world and witnessing my son's unique journey of discovery. Watching him as he explores and learns about the world provides valuable insights that help me enhance the learning process of my machine learning models. Understanding how humans perceive and acquire knowledge inspires me to continually improve the performance of my models, aiming to bring artificial intelligence closer to the capabilities of human intelligence.

Running is not only a hobby of mine but also a source of inspiration, leading me to embark on the "Running with Beta Blockers" project. I will post more of this soon.

As I wander the streets, I find myself naturally drawn to the higher levels of buildings, marveling at their architectural beauty. (random fact)

Sharing my experiences, insights, and discoveries with others is something I hold dear, as it fosters a spirit of collaboration and knowledge exchange in our ever-evolving world.

As you might have guessed, the previous introduction is a product of human and machine collaboration. The utilization of generative AI presents numerous advantages when applied skillfully. However, it is essential to recognize that becoming a proficient programmer requires adequate training and expertise, even when working with tools like ChatGPT.

The title of this blog, "Make up a Mind," is a playful wordplay that reflects a humorous connection to my profession. While I prefer to avoid using the term "AI", I am deeply fascinated by the potential for the emergence of intelligence within machine learning. It is important to acknowledge that the current state of machine learning models, known as LLMs, falls short of true intelligence. However, despite their limitations, they are valuable and practical tools in various domains.

This blog aims to offer a diverse range of materials encompassing various topics. On one occasion, I may share our personal experiences of relocating to the United States, while on another, I might delve into a highly specific article exploring machine learning. I see no issue with this eclectic approach since it is probable that you stumbled upon this blog via a search engine, seeking information on a particular subject.

I hope you find my unique perspective intriguing and that your time here is worthwhile. Your feedback is greatly appreciated, so please feel free to reach out if you notice any mistakes or have suggestions for future posts.

Thank you for your support.

Warm regards,

Tamas
