Capturing Key Insights: The Power of Documentation

In my journey of learning from personal experiences, I inherited a simple yet effective method from my father during my time working at his dairy farm. As the CEO and major shareholder, he relied on a diary to record the day's significant events and key numbers. Despite the convenience of technology at my disposal, I realized the value of his approach when it came to quick queries like historical harvest dates or weather anomalies.

From this experience, I wholeheartedly recommend everyone to document their own experiences. Personally, I leverage cloud-based platforms for this purpose. By recording the date, using relevant metadata such as keywords like "Python", "BigQuery", or "algorithms", and summarizing the main takeaways in my own words, I create a comprehensive record. Additionally, I can easily incorporate code snippets, images, or links if necessary. With advancements in LLM technology, usability has improved significantly: autocorrection features reduce errors, and the ability to search within this personalized information repository is a fantastic addition.

Now, I'm curious: What method do you employ to capture your key insights on a daily basis?
